It all started with a sunroom addition more than 30 years ago. Over time, a trusted client-designer relationship developed as Studio Hittle worked on other projects for the homeowners. After they became empty-nesters, the homeowners considered moving but opted to do a whole-house renovation and extensive landscaping instead.
The entire house was gutted and all the spaces reworked with a new kitchen, master bedroom suite and home office/library addition. On the lower walkout level, an entertainment area with bar, game room, sauna and cycling workshop were added. The exterior of the house was transformed with new siding, windows, trim work, roof line and overhang modifications, and a front porch addition, all within the vocabulary of Prairie-style architecture.
