LANDSCAPE
Twisted Midcentury Ranch
Golden Valley, Minnesota
This “twisted” midcentury ranch renovation included landscaping that met some practical goals. One: screening for the master suite facing the street. This was achieved with a linear planting of apple trees that reflected the angle of the studio addition. Another: no-maintenance plantings around the pool terraces. The plants that were selected not only met the maintenance requirement but also enhanced the contrast of the addition with the main house.
