First, a two-and-a-half-car garage was added, with a large bunkroom loft over. The existing garage at the opposite end of the house was turned into a timber-framed screened porch with a massive fieldstone fireplace. In between, the whole house was rearranged and renovated with a new kitchen, great room, dining room, home office/project room, master bedroom suite, mudroom/laundry and large walk-in pantry. A large front entry porch with massive recycled timber columns and a curvaceous eyebrow roof was added to create a welcoming entrance for visitors and add architectural interest to the façade.
