LANDSCAPE
50th & France Twin Gables
Edina, Minnesota
By definition, the two halves of a twin home mirror each other. But when it came to landscaping this newly built twin home, separate identities were the goal. From a central location curbside, guests follow two separate walkways to each home’s front entry. Different plantings define and separate the driveways and add individuality to the front yards and entrances. Side yard plantings screen the homes and the walkways to the back from neighbors. In the back, one home has a large patio overlooking the backyard with lower level walkout, while the other has a deck. A trio of staggered conifer trees creates a natural wall between the two backyards.
